The teens and I had a refreshing walk along Mangawhai surf beach tonight - typically there were loads of periwinkles plus baby oyster and mussel shells stuck to the rocks.

Good to see so many there. Next to none on the Kaipara. Guard them well people take them and eat them. Our shoreline has been decimated by people helping themselves without thinking of the consequences on the health of the ecosystem when they do.
Yes it was good to see them. Other places I've gone fishing at you don't see nearly this amount of shell fish normally people are greedy.
