Daisies everywhere!


After being sick on and off for the last couple of weeks I finally got out yesterday and enjoyed a long beach walk. Lots of sun and warmth and when I sat on the sand above the beach in amongst the grasses I was surrounded by these lovely orange Gazanias and Freesias. Just lovely!

A beautiful photo that makes me smile. Also, thanks for your comment on my blog. Regarding your question on "anchors" in the desert... sorry, I wasn't very clear. I was referring to anchors cemented into the rock. The kind that would anchor a steel cable (used in construction).

  Photo taken Spring 2024 in Auckland We have been invited to a family reunion in June 2026 which will be held in Auckland so I'm looking forward to catching up with relatives that I haven't seen in over 10 years.  This week we have: Had a good chat with a friend who has also adopted a rescue dog - must arrange a play date. I've bought some non alcoholic liqueurs to mix up for mocktails which have been very nice as I don't really drink. We had a massive wind storm 2 days ago, we were ok but a good friend who lives 20 minutes away had a bolt of lightning strike her house, the result was a blown up power box inside and part of her kitchen got burned, she had to call out the fire brigade to put it out.   Spring is throwing out some strange weather right now. We don't get snow where we live but it is visible on some of the mountains around us over Winter. Last week around 4.30am we had a very loud thunderstorm with hail. It wasn't until an hour or so later my daughter said this is what she saw out on our deck.  Clumps of hail all over the deck and on her hand. Apparently various other suburbs around town got it too.
