While driving through Whataroa recently I spotted this old house in the middle of a paddock just out of town. If you're travelling throughout the country you're going to see lots of these dotted about the landscapes, abandoned and unloved. Some are being used for sheep shearing, some for old farm sheds and others just empty.

I found an old house similar to that here last week, am yet to post it.
If those walls could talk. It is sad to see old homestead abandoned here too.
I like seeing these old ruins, wondering who lived in them, what their stories are
A great shot. Old houses give such a great mood.
You don't see something like this very often in our country. I often find such ruins quite photogenic.
...what is it about abandoned building that makes them so attractive?
I would love to know who used to live here and why they left. Peaceful place.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. ♥
I always wonder why they were abandoned and who lived there. Nice shot!
Only in a country with to much space. You never see that here.
They can be an interesting insight on the development of domestic design and mayerials through our short history.
