Tourists

Now that we are into late Spring, my town is starting to get more and more tourists coming in. Apparently the UK comedian John Bishop came through here not so long ago and was not impressed, I read that he was expecting a resort town which made me laugh, mind you I can understand his underwhelmed comment as Greymouth isn't exactly an attractive town although the council is trying their best to update it bit by bit. For instance, the green building to the left looks like it's art deco in age and needs a good paint but there are plenty of others around town just like this too.

Better for the residents if it's not so charm-touristy. Well, except for the businesses that might make some money from them. It's real NZ!

Tourist dollars are important to the economy of this island, for sure.

I like the shape of that green building.

That building does not really look like a tourist attraction, no... ;-)

That's kind of a weird thing to say....publically. Hopefully your Summer is lovely- we've rain this weekend when I have two outdoor gigs on the harbour. Boo! #Allseasons

As always it looks a bit empty.
I'm not a fan of touristy places.
A lick of paint wouldn't hurt that green building.

But the sky is pretty.

Growing up in the American west, we lived in towns that were not tourist attractions at all but were close to tourist attractions. I'm thinking that your town might be similar to that.

I love how you balance humour with honesty about your town—it makes the post feel genuine and relatable.
