Down this stretch of one of the main streets in Hokitika it's full of restaurants and cafes. Some of them I've tried and the rest I haven't.....yet.
I don't know if any of you have seen the news stories this week of New Zealand weather. At Mount Maunganui they had a major slip from Mauao (the iconic mountain) which ended up destroying some of the campground there and quite a few people are still missing. The North Island has had quite a bad Summer so far.

i resolved to try all the food places in Havant when we lived there. it didn't work. We ate out once per week (max) and risking a rubbish meal from some places just wasn't my mood most of the time. We found some good ones and stuck with them. it will probably end up being the same here in Blenheim.
That was a terrible storm that swept through The Bay. What a tragedy at the Mount.
Keep strong kiwis
I love the rustic wall
A tragic time for that whole area. The top of the north has certainly taken a battering over the summer.
I hadn't heard about that tragedy. The weather everywhere is getting frightening. There are far too many natural disasters.
Sorry to hear about that incident. Have a lovely week ahead.
Sorry to hear about Mount Maunganui.
I’d happily wander that stretch sampling cafés.
So sad to hear about the tragedy at Mount Maunganui.
Nature can be both beautiful and frightening.
Yes, we saw the landslide on television; it was actually reported. It is terrible, especially for the relatives too.
Thank you for sharing at MosaicMonday ❤️
Love your couple catch.
Photo is asking where the bars lead. We cruised around the east side of the south island but not the upper west or the north. That was December 2012. Still recovering from the earthquake.
I hadn't heard of that tragedy.
