Barrytown Hotel

About 20 minutes out of Greymouth is the old Barrytown Hotel now named "All Nations Barrytown Bar and Cafe". Barrytown is a very small settlement near the beach, I'm not sure if it is still in business as I haven't seen it open so far - it is privately owned and as far as I know local bands sometimes play there. Here in New Zealand we have many hotels, some posh, some so so but the word "hotel" can also mean pub or tavern. Confusing I know...

If it's close to the beach, I would imagine it would do a good business.

It looks closed and no ads for future engagements.

If this is still in business, this is the kind that has so much character.

That multi-definition for hotel would be quite helpful for a tourist to know. It also looks like a fun place to stop for a drink or lunch and I bet you'd get some local history too.
