I spotted these 2 ladies waiting at a bus stop in town. Now Greymouth is a small town to live in so we don't have a bus service as there are literally 3 main streets full of shops and most suburbs are closer by so people use cars or bikes (cycles and motorbikes). There is apparently a bus that takes people on a 3 hour journey to Christchurch each day so I am assuming that this is what they are waiting for. Behind them is the train station, Subway, The Warehouse and then further along is Woolworths.

In small Greymouth, seeing two women waiting for the bus to Christchurch feels like a rare moment of travel in an otherwise easy, walkable town.
I'll be catching that bus in a month or so with my sister. We're heading over to the coast for a school reunion.
Ohhh, and a Subway!!! Ours in CBD Braunschweig has sadly closed down, as was in Madeley/Perth. Now I´m hungry...
I hope they had lots to see along the way.
Woolworth’s has been gone for decades from here. I’d love to see inside one these days.
...waiting is a BIG part of life.
Sounds like an adventure to the big city.
Nice street photo ! I like how the red looks against the hillside.
Makes me wonder what journeys those ladies are off to.
Lovely photo, Amy!
