One of the local art galleries in one of the main streets in town - they sell artwork, portrait photography etc. After checking out their photos I think they could be similar to the subjects I take photos of but theirs are on a professional scale.

This week while we've been on holiday we've been walking around Orewa, which is the small seaside town we have been staying at. My grandparents lived here in a small house a few streets away many years ago when I was little and it's been amazing to see how much the town has changed - it really has grown.

Weekend colour in Mangawhai Heads

Because it was so lovely and sunny over the weekend it was too good to stay indoors so I decided to walk up to Mangawhai surf beach. The view on this photo of the estuary is perfect - so calm and blue looking.

I walked through the caravan park on the way home and there were lots of Flame trees in bloom. The red & yellow flowers are a nice addition to what's usually a dull winter here.
