Daffodils

On a piece of narrow land in between the Grey River/railway lines/main road/supermarkets, the local council (I assume) had workers plant hundreds of daffodil bulbs and every Spring they flower - nice to see some colour after Winter. I managed to get this snap on a cloudy day in between the storms we've been getting.

They will full in a bit over the years and teally be a mass of springtime beauty. It's a feature of England that was lovely - public plantings of daffodils and the appearance each spring of primroses.

Nice street photo. I do wonder what those rails are doing there without any barriers or something similar.
