Clocktower Sunset

On the way home from work (I finish at 8pm) last week I stopped to take some photos of the sunset and walked up the steps to the lookout next to the town clocktower and Grey River. This is looking the opposite way over the town square which is only one side of town.

This lady looked like she was trying to set up her drone next to the clock tower.

And this lady also stood next to me taking some photos of the sunset too.

I have been having issues with sciatic pain this week in my lower back. It started 25 years ago when I was pregnant with my youngest, she use to sit on my tail bone. Ever since then once in a while the nerve twinges. Painkillers don't work, Voltaren emulgel isn't working, neither is deep heat, I've tried yoga stretches - the only thing I've found that relieves it is a hot water bottle on my back. If you have any suggestions please leave a comment.

I was trying to remember how many years it was since I was in Greymouth. "A lot" was as close as I got.

I'm always surprised by how few people appear in your photos.

You have a lovely view from up there. I hope the back issues clear up soon.

That clock tower stands out! - Have you ever tried TENS?
"Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation" - look it up.
For many years in the past, that was the only thing that really helped me with muscle/nerve pain in my neck/shoulder/arm.

I have recurring sciatic issues and do the exercises the physiotherapist gave me. They always help!

I did say in a previous post that I live in a small town, these photos were taken at 8pm at night when most shops are closed.

I love those moody sunset photos.
Hope you find relief from the pain
The clock tower, riverside walk and town square are all new since i lived in Greymouth and it's always good to see the town developing. And i remember some spectacular sunsets, we had a great view of them living in Cowper Street. Sorry, the only thing I can suggest for sciatic pain is hot wheat packs - they worked for me.

Beautiful views! I tried Voltaren with my aching arm. Pfft, nothing. My friend suggested Traumeel - worked! As ointment and tablets - keep those under your tongue till melted - don´t eat or drink for a while.
A clock tower is an eye stopper for sure. Wowza! For your pain try Lidocaine Pain Relieving Patch company welmate. I purchased it from Amazon. Each person reacts differently. It may work. It may not. Good luck!

My bro suffers from sciatica and recently some woman at his dr's surgery told him the same thing you have just described and said that taking magnesium ensures it doesn't bother her now. Bro tried it and said he hasn't had sciatica since he started taking daily magnesium supplement.
