Train

My daughter R and I dropped off a load of bits and pieces to one of the local op shops last week and on the way back home we got stopped at the main road next to the Greymouth railway station while the Tranz Alpine was passing through. At the moment it seems that the carriages aren't that full but usually over Winter they are full as there is spectacular scenery between here and Christchurch.

I should really put that train trip on my to-do list
I think a ride on that train would appeal to me.

A train journey worth taking I imagine.
Yes the trip in winter can be quite spectacular, especially if there has been snow.

At least it wasn't a long line of graffiti-covered cars transporting cargo. I would love to ride on that train-we have gotten rid of so many of our train lines here in the United States. It's a disgrace.

Nice photo. I'm surprised there aren't any barriers or anything like that.

Nice rainy reflections. I get stopped by trains now and again, but the ones here are all freight, no passenger trains.
