Winter is approaching in a sneaky manner. This week the lower temperatures are here - we had 3 degrees on Monday night then 4 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
B and I have started preparing for some Winter jobs around the house such as sanding horrible blue paint off the 1930s vintage kitchen door so we can varnish it back to it's natural wood look.
Linking up with Skywatch Friday and Tom's Signs.

Early winter can be a sneaky season over here as well! Sounds like you have a plan to keep busy on the really nasty weather days when they arrive. (My plan now that we're old and retired, is to skip the season entirely as long as we can travel.)
...red skies at night, sailor's delight!
Meanwhile it has become lovely and warm here, although with cool nights.
That's a lovely sunset but very chilly nights.
That's a nice sunset.
In the Netherlands we have a week with clear blue skies.
Beautiful skies! We had a very mild winter this year in our hemispere. I hope yours won't be too cold!
That sounds like a big job, but when you are done your floors are going to be gorgeous and the rewards of having beautiful hardwood flooring with be a blessing that you will treasure.
That's a beautiful sky. Bundle up!
Fantastic.
Beautiful skies, good luck on your sanding job.
Pretty sky.
Worth a Thousand Words
8C here, dunno, Spring???? Nice sky.
Seeing a sky that fiery and intense is genuinely breathtaking. It makes me feel a sense of quiet awe, like the world is putting on a final, spectacular show before the day disappears. There is something so humbling and beautiful about how nature can paint the atmosphere in such vivid reds, especially as the air starts to get that crisp, winter bite.
Such a pretty sky.
What a beautiful sky. Stay warm!
30 degrees Celsius here today.
Absolutely a beautiful sky. Layer up and take care.
We have similar weather in Finland. But it´s Spring.
I can imagine the shade of blue too - did you consider getting the door dipped to strip it?
