Second hand

We love second hand shopping, it's pretty cool when we find brand new items for hugely discounted priced.  Hokitika has some great shops for this purpose.

Linking up with Weekend ReflectionsShadow Shot Sunday and The Weekend Roundup.

Nelson has great 'second life' shops for clothes- some focue entirely on fashion brands and many items are clearly brand new/original labels. At the other end of the market Habitat for Humanity and the ReUse shop clothe people for less than the price of lunch. Blenheim is fairly well blessed too - Blue Door is excellent.

That is becoming more and more common here too. My wife also regularly browses through a second-hand shop to see if there is anything she likes.
Wishing you a nice weekend.

Must find out who takes second hand here as the clothes you give to the Red Cross, it was shown on TV, go to China and get burnt. Yet here they are VERY picky in those stores and I have but nearly brand-new sweaters, no fancy clothes...

I wish we had 2nd hand shops.
Locals won't buy 2nd hand because other people will think they're poor. Ye gods and little fishes

It's always fun to look through second-hand items. I've bought many things that way.

Charity shops here are one of our favourite places to check out. Books are 20cent and you can find some excellent ones. Clothes, sometimes fairly new are a bargain too.

Second-hand shops are wonderful! Most of my clothes are from them. I've found brand new shoes from expensive brands too.

We have some very good op shops around here, too, Amy. I'm not much of a 'shopper' but enjoy a browse around an op shop.

I used to thrift. One of my co workers, years ago, had an entire wardrobe from the Salvation Army and she knew just what to pick.

I've donated quite a few items to charity shops but not bought a lot there.
