Open

We are starting to get some darker mornings and shorter nights here as Autumn creeps in. People are now wearing warmer clothing and we have just put the electric blanket back on the bed. Daylight savings has just ended and luckily so far we have plenty of wood in preparation for Winter. B use to work at one of the local sawmills just outside of town and he was allowed to take home all the leftover offcuts which we have some stored in the carport next to the garage and the rest is in an old concrete structure next to the house. Lucky it hasn't been cold enough to start using it.

This weekend is going to be interesting. The north island of New Zealand is about to be hit with a whopping cyclone from the Pacific Islands so if you're up that way (like my family) stay safe.

Linking up with Weekend Reflections and The Weekend Roundup.

I've never heard of cyclones hitting New Zealand. It must be rare. Good luck.

That quiet shift into autumn feels almost comforting, and I hope your family in North Island stays safe as the cyclone approaches.

I've been watching that cyclone. All my family are in the Bay of Plenty. Hope it doesn't hit you

Here in the Netherlands, we are waiting for rain this weekend. It is badly needed, because it is already dry in the garden and in nature.
Hopefully, that cyclone isn't too bad and your family stays safe.

no, it's not rare at all, it happens occasionally.

Nah it's not set to come this way, apparently towns in the BOp have been evacuated.

Här har vi precis tvärtom, ljusare morgnar och kvällar, och vi har nyligen ställt om till sommartid. Men så bor vi ju på två olika sidor av klotet!
Ha det så gott, och vi hoppas det inte blir för stora skador av cyklonen!

Oh no, another cyclone. Sometimes I am glad I live in boring Germany! We still have the heating on here, 13C right now... Spring, hahaha, not really.
